How is the 2023 Wagoneer Powered?
The 2023 Wagoneer adds an engine option to the lineup. While the base-level Series I returns with the standard 5.7-liter V8 engine delivering 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque, the rest of the engine gets the all-new Hurricane engine. This twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six-cylinder delivers 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque while increasing fuel efficiency by up to 15% in comparison to the V8 engine. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that powers the rear wheels as standard equipment. However, 4x4 is the most common setup found here in Ohio, as it is better suited for our unpredictable weather conditions. The Wagoneer is eligible for Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, or Quadra-Drive II with a rear electronic limited-slip differential.
What's New for the 2023 Wagoneer?
As we mentioned above, the Wagoneer returns for 2023 with even more available features. The first is the new Carbide Edition. This special package is available for the Series II trim and gives the Wagoneer a bolder, more commanding road presence with a blacked-out appearance. Wagoneer Carbide Edition models feature Gloss Black accents on the headlight rings, grille rings, roof rails, wheels, and door sill cladding. Meanwhile, the grille, door flares, and front/rear fascias are covered with Diamond Black accents. This bold, blacked-out look continues throughout the cabin with Global Black leather seats, smoke accent stitching, Piano Black accents, and a black suede headliner. The black headliner is contrasted by an abundance of natural lighting courtesy of a three-pane panoramic sunroof. The second new feature is the Wagoneer L. By stretching the overall length by twelve inches and the wheelbase by seven inches, the Wagoneer L makes way for 42.7 inches of legroom for third-row occupants and 172 cubic feet of passenger volume. Additionally, the Wagoneer L increases the cargo space behind the third row by 15 cubic feet, bringing it up to 44.2 cubic feet of cargo volume.

The Wagoneer also focuses on safety, with a full suite of advanced driver assistance technologies, including forward collision mitigation, blindspot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, active lane management, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and more.
