For instance, it can have a traditional layout with analog speedometer and tachometer gauges on either side of a digital speedometer reading. Another new availability for the 2023 Ram 1500 is the Selec-Terrain feature. Selec-Terrain, which is essentially off-roading cruise control, has been optional for the past few model years, however, it is even more accessible in 2023. This is because it is now standard equipment for the Rebel trim and models equipped with the Off-Road Group or Back Country package. Lastly, the new Limited Elite edition is available. The Limited Elite brings all of the luxurious features from the Limited trim and adds Harman Kardon audio with 19 speakers, premium leather upholstery, locking in-floor storage, a panoramic sunroof, bright pedals, reclining rear seats, power deploying running boards, a multifunction tailgate, a bed extender, a deployable bed step, and more. 

The 2023 Ram 1500’s engine lineup is kicked off by the 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine that supplies 260 lb-ft of torque and a 7,730-pound towing capacity. The V6 engine utilizes Ram’s eTorque mild-hybrid technology to provide maximum fuel efficiency and increased performance. Optional for the entire Ram 1500 lineup while standard on the Limited trim is the popular 5.7L HEMI V8, delivering 395 horsepower, 410 lb-ft of torque, and an impressive 11,610-pound towing capacity. Meanwhile, when the 5.7L V8 is outfitted with the eTorque system, the towing capacity is bumped up to 12,750. The last engine available for the entire lineup is the 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel. This pulls up to 12,560 pounds with 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Exclusive to the Ram 1500 TRX is a supercharged 6.2L V8 unleashing a monstrous 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque for a 4.5-second 0-60 time. As standard equipment, a rear-wheel drive system is driven by an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, here in Ohio, you’ll most often find the Ram 1500 equipped with 4x4 as it is better suited for our unpredictable weather conditions. 

The trim-level lineup of the Ram 1500 comes with no bad options, it just depends on what you expect from a truck! The Tradesman sets a solid standard for the lineup with active grille shutters, heated/power side mirrors, power windows/door locks, 18-inch steel wheels, vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, and cruise control.
