Hybrid Mode
The default mode, Hybrid, combines torque from both the 2.0L turbocharged engine and the electric motors. This combination provides maximum horsepower, instant torque, and the best acceleration. Electric power is consumed first.
Electric Mode
When the battery has more than a 1% charge, it can run in Electric Mode. This allows for nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds. The vehicle can run in this mode for up to 21 miles.

The torque provided by the electric motor improves rock crawling capabilities and powerful speed off the line. And for impressive traction, it's the Industry's First PHEV with Front and Rear Locking Differentials.
OPTIMIZE EVERY RIDE
Regenerative Braking
This feature allows the battery to be charged when decelerating and braking. The Max Regeneration feature remaps the accelerator pedal to command more aggressive regen at low pedal positions. It allows you to slow the vehicle down without the brake pedal, but a complete stop always requires the brake pedal. It also stays selected until you turn it off.
Recharge
The battery can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours using an available Level II charger (240-volt) or 12 hours using the included Level I charger (120-volt). Start charging at home to enjoy the benefits of commutes on pure electric power.

How powerful is the Wrangler 4xe?
When we talk about the Wrangler 4xe, we must tell you what's under the hood! Lifting the hood will reveal a base turbocharged four-cylinder engine which will pair with a battery pack and two electric motors, which help to create a spectacular 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Paring with this engine is a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission that gives you a great ride on and off the road. Because the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a hybrid vehicle, you can get up to 22 miles of all-electric range, which is outstanding for the class. The battery pack is under the seats, so you can't get it wet or damaged. Once your battery gets drained, you will be switched over to gasoline. This engine is available on all four-door versions of the Wrangler.
What's standard on the 4xe?
Every trim of the Wrangler 4xe is filled with available features, including the base trim! That base trim is the Sahara 4xe, and its one of the best base trim levels out there as it comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, side steps, heated side mirrors, power windows/locks, keyless entry/ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, and ambient LED footwell lighting. Do you want your Wrangler 4xe to come with tech? Then you will be more than pleased with the Sahara 4xe trim, as it comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and three USB ports. There is nothing the Sahara 4xe can't do!
Higher trims of the Wrangler 4xe
The higher you go up the trim levels, the more advanced the Wrangler 4xe becomes! Take the High Altitude version of the Wrangler 4xe, for example, as it comes with blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross path detection, a Freedom Top, and leather seating surfaces. Safety features are available for the Rubicon trim as it has forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control. The Rubicon trim is also the trim you want to go with if you want to do some serious off-roading, as it comes with 4-wheel drive hardware, electronic locking differentials, and a disconnecting anti-roll bar. Other features include steel bumpers that accommodate your winch and off-road pages. No matter what version of the Wrangler 4xe you go with, you will be treated to several outstanding high-tech and performance items such as heated front seats, heated steering wheel, remote start function, 8.4-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, 9-speaker/552-watt Alpine audio system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
