Starting things off is the base Spor trim, and it, like all trims of the 2022 Jeep Compass, comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 177 horsepower, which will undoubtedly be enough power both on and off the road. Front-wheel-drive come standard, but you can opt for four-wheel-drive if you prefer. Now for the features of the Compass Sport! The Sport is very well-equipped as it comes with an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the Uconnect 5 is five times faster than the previous version and processes three times as much data. Other features for the Sport include  LED headlights, a USB-A and USB-C port in the front, a USB-A port in the back, cloth seats, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Compass also protects you both on the road and off with tons of safety systems, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a backup camera.

Next, we have the Latitude, which builds on what the Sport offers as it adds premium cloth/vinyl seats, a leather shift knob, ambient interior lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlights to the mix. In addition, several options are available for the Latitude, which can make your driving experience even better. These include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, wireless charging, and a dual-pane sunroof. Also available is the Altitude package that provides you with several appearance items such as gloss black accents. 

Last year, the Compass introduced the Latitude Lux trim, returning in 2022 with some incredible luxury items. Included on this trim is standard all-wheel-drive, heated front seats, 18-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote start. On this trim, you also get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen. 

The most off-road capable of all the versions of the 2022 Compass is the Trailhawk, and it comes with all the latest off-road equipment that is sure to add you in all of your adventures. This trim includes an appearance package that gives the Compass a more rugged feel and includes skid plates and an extra inch of ground clearance. Also included on the Trailhawk is an Active Low 4x4 system with Rock mode, hill-descent control, and a 30-degree approach angle. You also get a more advanced four-wheel-drive system and off-road tires. 

Rounding out the Compass lineup is the luxurious Limited trim, and it comes with some of the best features seen on the Compass, including a premium appearance package with solid chrome accents and 18-inch aluminum diamond-cut wheels. There are also several advanced features such as premium leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power driver’s seat with lumbar control, rain-sensing wipers. Later this year, the Limited will feature a Highway Assist System that combines drivers assistance with lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
