The Ram 2500 is a heavy-duty pickup truck that can do it all! Coming into the 2020 model year, the Ram 2500 has gained a new 50-gallon fuel tank option, additional standard features, and more. To help you find the Ram 2500 model that best suits the needs of your lifestyle, we are breaking down exactly what each of the truck’s trim levels have to offer below, so keep reading! 

The Lineup

Tradesman: The first trim level in the Ram 2500’s trim lineup is the Tradesman. This trim level comes outfitted with air conditioning, 17-inch steel wheels, a USB port, a front bench seat with vinyl upholstery, Bluetooth, Ram’s Uconnect infotainment system, and a tilting steering wheel. 

Big Horn: The second trim offered is called the Big Horn. This trim adds chrome exterior trim, and integrated trailer brake controller, 18-inch steel wheels, a power-sliding rear window, remote locking and unlocking, an additional charging-only USB port, remote ignition, and carpeted floors. 

Laramie: The next trim, called the Laramie, adds to the Tradesman and Big Horn with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, 8-way power front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, Apple and Android smartphone integration, heated front seats, and a 9-speaker sound system.

Power Wagon: Taking the Ram 2500 off-roading, the Power Wagon comes with electronic locking front and rear differentials, a dedicated off-roading suspension, satellite radio, front and rear parking sensors, and standard four-wheel drive.

Laramie: Heading back on the road, the Laramie adds LED exterior lighting, navigation, heated 2nd-row seats, a spray-in bedliner, a 10-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, and a heated wood/leather steering wheel. 

Limited: The final trim in the 2500 lineup is called the Limited. It comes with a 360-degree camera system, a 12-inch touchscreen, additional safety features like blind-spot monitoring with trailer detection, a 360-degree camera system, 20-inch alloy wheels, and power-deployable running boards. 

Engine Options: The standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 that produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. Ram pairs this engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The second engine offered is a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel 6-cylinder engine that delivers 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is the standard configuration but four-wheel drive is available for all trim levels except the Power Wagon where it is standard.
