Summer Camping Road Trip

Summer is here, and you may be planning your summer vacation adventures. A great family road trip to take is to travel from campground to campground. It allows you to see the true beauty of your country! A great benefit of this type of road trip is that there are many free campgrounds throughout the U.S. that you will want to take advantage of.  States including Michigan, New Mexico. Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming offer free camping areas.

It's best to check with each of these states to makes sure there haven't been any changes or updates which may cause the campground not to be free anymore. Keep in mind, the state parks may have a fee, but if you look up free National Park days as well, you might hit the jack pot with freebies for your family and your next camping adventure!

• Research where you are going
• Experiment with all your camping equipment before you leave on your trip
• Don't rely on campfires, be sure to bring flashlights, etc. and exercise fire safety
• Make sure you buy quality goods. Cheap ones will not be durable and will not be very useful while out in the great outdoors.
