The Cherokee scored high in five categories, earning it the number one spot on the index! The five major factors taken into consideration when looking for the most American made vehicle include engine sourcing, assembly location, transmission sourcing, domestic-parts content (which is determined by the American Automobile Labeling Act), and factory jobs offered by the automaker’s United States production plants. Jeep is incredibly proud of the people who build the Cherokee and those who own it!

There are five awesome Jeep Cherokee trim levels available for the 2019 model year! The trim lineup includes the Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Trailhawk, and Overland. This beast of an SUV comes packed with features like folding rear seats, automatic xenon headlights, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a new 7-inch touchscreen, a USB port, folding front passenger seat with hidden storage compartment, 17-inch wheels, and more! The other trim levels add on leather upholstery, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone climate control, remote engine start, parking sensors, a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, ventilated front seats, nine-speaker sound system, cornering lights, sound-deadening windshield, and so much more! The Trailhawk trim level takes on off-roading geared features like hill ascent and descent control, unique suspension tuning, tow hooks, locking rear differential, and more!
Powering the Jeep Cherokee is easy with three fantastic options, all of which are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission! The first engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, creating 171 lb-ft of torque and 180 hp. Up next is the 3.2-liter V6 which produces 239 lb-ft of torque and 271 hp. The final engine option is the new addition. This 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder generates 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 hp. Drivetrain configurations include standard front-wheel drive, available all-wheel-drive, and available 4x4 systems Active Drive I, Active Drive II, and Active Drive Lock.
