Standard equipment is a 3.6L V6, pumping out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. To maximize fuel efficiency, the Pentastar engine uses eTorque mild-hybrid technology. The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine, standard on the Limited trim while available for the entire lineup, bumps the output readings up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque to tow up to 11,610 pounds. The eTorque system is available to the HEMI engine, providing better fuel economy. The EcoDiesel 3.0L V6 delivers 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. The last available engine comes exclusively under the hood of the mighty TRX, producing 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged 6.2L V8 for a 4.5-second 0-60 time! A TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels as standard equipment, while 4x4 is available for all trims.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling

The Silverado lineup is available with four engines, supplying plenty of power for various activities. A turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-4 cylinder engine is standard equipment, providing 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The optional 5.3L V8 is available for 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The diesel option delivers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque from a 3.0L I-6 turbodiesel. Finally, if you’re looking for the most powerful Silverado engine, you’ll have to choose the 6.2L V8 engine, offering 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Most engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission except for the four-cylinder engine, which uses an 8-speed automatic.

2022 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Offering a wide array of standard and available features, the Ram 1500 trim lineup is nothing short of impressive. The entry-level Tradesman trim makes a fantastic work truck, offering air conditioning, push-button ignition, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a 5-inch infotainment touchscreen, power windows/door locks, active grille shutters, 18-inch steel wheels, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The Big Horn adds fog lights, alloy wheels, a chrome outlined grille, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Uconnect 5 infotainment software, in-floor storage for crew cab models, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Rebel offers a rugged off-road appearance with features like all-terrain tires, off-roading suspension, four skid plates, and a factory lift to back it up. Finally, the Limited trim tops off the lineup with heated/cooled front seats, a 12-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, 20-inch alloy wheels, air suspension, and power-retractable running boards.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado Features & Design

As with previous model years, the Silverado lineup is kicked off by the WT trim, offering a tilt-only steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, 17-inch steel wheels, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The Custom trim offers more with heated power side mirrors, push-button start, cruise control, and a trailering package. To compete with the rugged Ram 1500 Rebel, the Custom Trail Boss adds all-terrain tires, one skid plate, a factory lift, and recovery hooks. For more opulent features, the LT trim adds LED lighting, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a power driver’s seat.
