What's under the hood of the Compass?
All trims of the 2021 Jeep Compass come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with front-wheel-drive, but all-wheel-drive is available on every trim except the Trailhawk, where all-wheel-drive comes standard. The type of transmission you get depends on if you get the front or all-wheel-drive. If you choose front-wheel-drive, the Compass comes with a six-speed automatic, while the all-wheel-drive versions of the Compass get a nine-speed automatic.
What are some of the Jeep Compass's features?
There are four trim levels available for the 2021 Compass, and each one has a large number of tech, luxury, and performance-enhanced features. The base trim is the Sport, which comes with automatic dual-zone climate control, steel wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen with USB ports, a six-speaker sound system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also standard is an Adaptive Cruise Control System, which helps the driver maintain a pre-set distance between the Compass and the traffic in front of it. Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Braking will warn you of an impending collision and can even apply the brakes in certain situations.
